High Hopes Guest Designer

Today's card is for the High Hopes Card challenge.  This was was made for the guest designer position.  The new challenge for this week is "Non-Traditional" Colors.

You can't see it very well but I used a Sizzix embossing folder(snowflakes) for the background and then.  I used a Spellbinders die (Ironworks Motiffs) for layering behind the kitty.  The stamp is High Hopes Kitty's Flutter Friends.  I painted the kitty with Viva Decor Pearl Pen White Pearl.  The die cut is a Quickutz cookie cutter set(Holiday Phrases).

Hope you like it, and if you would like to join on on the Challenge click here

Hometown USA Pagelayout

Today's page layout is in honor of Veteran's Day.  I have many ties to the military since was was and still am an Air Force wife,  My husband served 20 years in the Air Force, my father was in the Army, and 2 of my brothers are currently in the Army.  So to all of those Veterans THANK YOU for your service,  I know is it not always easy.

The page layout below is my depiction of Hometown USA, it could be for a 4th of July page, a reunion page, or even a picnic page.  It is one of my favorites, and it is also available for sale at my Etsy shop, fully assembled.  Enjoy the page, I have listed the dies used at the end.

Supplies:

Dies- Quickutz Revolution Houses (3 of them), wagon, dog, mailbox, Custom Archivers Fireworks, Quickutz border Fence, Quickutz Light pole.

Paper- the paper is from the Dreamy 2 collection from My Mind's Eye and Bazzill Cardstock.

Christmas Poinsettias

The card was really fun and different for me.  I usually design cards for classes so I can't usually add a lot of detail or embellishments, because I time.  But I am learning to have fun with these cards because I don't have to worry about the constraints of time.  So with this card I used the Spellbinders Layered Poinsettias, after I cut them out I ran them through again and embossed them an while they were still in the die I turned them over and painted Radiant Pearls Yellow right through the holes in the die.  That is how I got the color on the leaves.

The card is stamped with a Penny Black stamp called "You make me blush" and I colored or painted it with Radiant Pearls.  I love Radiant Pearls, too bad they don't make them anymore.  Enjoy!

This card was made for my enjoyment as well as the following Challenges:
Dynamic duos: DD #27
Card Makin' Mamas: Anything Goes!
Just Us Girls: Sketch Challenge #161

Supplies:
Paper: Bazzill Pomegranate, Patch
Dies: Spellbinders Layered Poinsettias, Standard Circles Small, Picot Circles
Punches: Martha Stewart Vintage Doily
Accessories: Pearls, Ribbon

Amusement Park Fun

Over the next couple of days I am going to be posting some of my favorite layouts.  I hope you enjoy them, using die cut to make page layouts if my favorite thing to do.  This first one is Amusement Park Fun.  I will list all of the dies used at the end.  But I also make the six flags logo by cutting strips and flags out with my Silhouette SD machine, another thing I am fond of using if I don't have dies that are what I am looking for.  I just used the drawing tool on the software and drew what I wanted.

The Supplies used for this page are:

Dies
CottageCutz: Viking Ride, Ticket Booth, Bumper Cars, Boardwalk Carnival Silhouette, Carousel Horse
Quickutz: Roller Coaster Cars
Silhouette Machine Designs: Custom made logo(I drew it), Roller Coaster Border

Thanks for looking!

By the way if you really like this page you can buy it already assembled at my Etsy shop.  Below is the link.
